Jama Masjid

Shah Jahan’s last architectural extravagance, towers over Old Delhi and is the largest mosque in India. Built of red sandstone and marble during the 17th century is one of the brilliant examples of Islamic faith, art and culture.

The major features of the mosque that make it a must-see place include the adornments of the interior areas of the arches, the prayer hall and the large courtyard accommodating 25,000 worshippers at once.
